Most Fine Canine, Inc. specializes in the training and placement of service dogs for individuals with mobility and neurological disabilities, children and adults.

Surviving the first few weeks:

Our puppy preschool class consists of four (4) sessions in a group environment. These sessions are fun and effective. We use proven methods to prepare you and your new puppy for a lifetime of learning success!

Topics:

  • Introduction to socialization.

  • Begin basic obedience training.

    • Walking on a leash, etc.

  • Housebreaking and puppy care tips.

    • Proper feeding.

    • Proper licensing.

  • Learning the “sounds of your house” such as vacuums, doorbells, etc.

Our mission is to promote the best, healthy, and loving relationship between you and your dog. Our puppy preschool is designed to set the foundation to meet that mission. Classes fill quickly.

ONE-ON-ONE CANINE TRAINING

Social/Home Basic Obedience:

Social/Home education involves housebreaking and setting basic ground rules such as:

  • What are the proper items to chew?

  • What are the expected behaviors when socializing with people, guests, and towards other animals in the home? 

Basic Obedience:

Basic Obedience training involves attaining the general skills of having the dog focus on its handler and to:

  • Sit

  • Walk without pulling on a leash around distractions. 

Intermediate Obedience:

Intermediate Obedience training involves attaining the skills of having the dog focus on its handler with your dog off leash:

  • Sit

  • Heel (walk beside you)

  • Down

  • Come

  • Stay

  • Leave it

CANINE SELECTION

Puppy Temperament Evaluation:

Most Fine Canine Inc. has extensive experience in assessing litters of puppies (recommended to be done at 7 weeks-of-age for the best accuracy) and aiding the breeder or purchaser in determination of the puppies’ inherent characteristics to best perform as a pet, sport, or working dog.
